    Hi Everyone,

Sorry it has been so long since I updated my blog. It has been a hectic month with lots of traveling and golf.

The first Europro event of the season took place at Celtic Manor from the 13th to the 15th of May over the Montgomerie course. I couldn’t believe quite how hilly the course was, but it was in very good condition and the whole resort was very friendly and welcoming.

I got an afternoon tee time on the first day so after a morning of relaxing I final started at 2pm. I had a bit of a slow start, I bogeyed my first 3 holes due to a 3 putt and not getting up and down on 2 holes but then I settled down and started to play much better. I was 4 over par after 7 holes but managed to change the momentum with a great up and down on the long 8th hole. I had a birdie on the 11th hole thanks to a good 20 foot putt and then had further birdies on 15 and 16 to sign for a first round total of 70 (1 over par) and in a tie for 52nd place. I was reasonably happy with this and had a lot of positives to take out of the round.

I woke up on the second day to torrential rain and wind. I had an early tee time and after a warm up on the range I started on the 10th hole. I had 4 good up and downs in the first 4 holes which was how it was going to be all day with scrambling key in bad weather. We played the front 9 with my score at level par and then when we got to the first green it was underwater and we got called off the course for a rain delay. This rain delay turned into a 3 hour break, when we finally went back out most people were unsure as to why, due to the fact that it was still raining. Needless to say we played 3 more holes and then were called off again due to flooding. The second round was cancelled and the cut came after 1 round scores. This meant I missed the cut by one which was disappointing.

I had a lot of positives with the way I had played the second 9 in the first round and was looking forward to getting into the next event to get the competitive edge back.

    Thanks to everyone for reading
